FISHING GUIDE - ANNA MARIA ISLAND, BRADENTON, PALMETTO & TAMPA

October 2016 Fall is here and the last week of September has been producing some great bites in Redfish and Snapper, with a few snook caught in the same areas. The weather and the water have been warm, with the sun up around 7:15 in the morning, the bait has been plentiful and a one throw process at the south skyway bridge. Repairs on the he wall at the northern end of the south skyway fishing pier, have been a bonus for us guides. The repairs and the presence of the repairmen, have closed about 50- 75 feet of the pier end and it’s been great. Now don’t take this wrong, but I think it would be a great idea to make this section, forever closed so that all fisherman could bonus from this. Everyone knows that the bait is almost always at the tip of the pier all year round, and one could drive right up with out worry if someone had their lines out and siply throw to the pods. I luv it just awesome. On another not i had to call the tow boat in this week to get a jummp and appreciate the help from friends. appparently it was time to get some new batteries, since the las where not lastingthe hole day. great time to fish give us a call as we wil enter your name in the raffle for the free trip if you book now till the end of the year. Tight lines My friends.

OCTOBER 6, 2016 — MATTHEW, MATTHEW, MATTHEW……..STORM IS CAUSING ME TO CANCEL SOME TRIPS THIS WEEK, HOPEFULLY WE WILL BE BACK UP AND RUNNING WITHOUT interruptions OCTOBER 11TH…….I WILL BE IN TOUCH……..

September - 2016 is starting with the storm and no fishing for the first week of September, with Hermine causing the Coast Guard to issue a No Boating Advisery. Stay tuned as the fishing will continue, after a short delay. Well I am sitting at the house, after getting a half day of fishing in this morning. Rest of the week is callling for Rain and more Rain…Tide was high this AM producing a good solid Redfish bite with my customers from Chicago. Weather has been hot but today had a 10-15 mph breaze which was nice, but I knew that we would be in storm trouble quickly….Lots of thanks to the Pulkos for their fun times on the water.

August - 2016 was a good month with the last part of the month getting news of the first Hurricane for the season. THe waters have been very warm and very productive. The Snook bite has been on fire with the outgoing tides producing as many as 50 plus fish for anglers, in the 18-30 inch range. Bait has been the key to getting the big ones and sizing up the hook makes it easier to keep one attached to your rod. I cant beleive how the snook have rebounded this year. On the othre hand, Redfish have been hit or miss on the high tide and chasing then on the flats. Good fish have been caught on the highest of tides with a quite a few in the slot for anglers to take home and put on the grill. After a cooling rainy few days, the bait was tough and small, and that day was declared mangrove snapper day in Tampa Bay. I was so impressed with the numbers of Snapper caught by my anglers, I had non other choice then to declare it SNAPPER DAY.  The hurricain is in the way so lets see what it brings….
