Boats & Equipment: The latest edition to our fleet is a Dorado® 23.

This fine custom boat was built and designed for stalking the flats for redfish, snook and trout, and hunting the beaches for Tarpon. The hull is unbelievably shallow running making it one of the most versatile boats we own. Its really a combination flats boat, bay boat and the added height of the tower allows the greatest visibility when cruising or sight fishing.

We have outfitted this awesome boat with a Mercury 225 Optimax Outboard, Lenco Trolling Motors, 8 foot Power Pole and a "Custom Tower" build by legendary designer Dale Strickland at Universal Tower and Welding. Dale out did himself this time around. I would just like to thank everyone who has worked so hard to make this boat come together and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. Many of you will be instantly in love with this Dorado and probably want one for yourself. We are calling this the Dorado®, InshoreSlam™ Edition.

Additional Angler: We generally keep our trips at 2-4 anglers, for the participants' enjoyment, line-time, and fishing success. Please notify the captain, prior to trip for additional party members, to insure USCG and State Safety compliance. Rates based on two, please add $50 per additional angler.

Can we keep the fish we catch:  To protect the excellent fishery in our waters, Inshore Slam Fishing Charters will allow you to keep your fish when legal and in season if you so choose. We also practice catch and release of game fish, however, we will not pressure you to throw back fish as some captains' have been known to do. We will clean and bag species in season, including Redfish, Trout, Snook, Flounder, Sheepshead, Snapper, Grouper, Mackerel and any species that is legal for harvest and edible. We prefer that you are keeping it for yourself and not the first passer by at the dock. If you keep it, please eat it, and don't waste the fragile resources in the great state of Florida.

Captain:  While the Captain tries his very best to perform each and every Charter scheduled, there are times when he may not perform a charter for reasons unexpected.  This may occur as a result of boat or engine trouble, illness and/or personal/family matters.  To preserve the charter you have been anxiously awaiting, Inshore Slam Fishing Charters LLC, reserves the right to refund your money, reschedule or if possible, substitute another local captain.  Due to inclement weather, special local events, tides and/or "Hot bites", Inshore Slam Fishing Charters LLC, may suggest  to change the departure time.  Because of this, we will make it a practice to communicate with our customers several days prior to the charter date to confirm or recommend a change in departure time.

Equipment: Inshore Slam Fishing Charters will provide it’s customers the very best and latest in rods, reels and equipment. The fishing rod & reel is in the control of the angler all day. It is the angler’s responsibility to secure it when not in use. The captain does watch out for things but cannot see everything that is going on. An unsecured rod with a live bait or lure dangling in the water is a temptation to fish at any time.  Insurance does not cover "mistakes"  Even if it did, the deductible would not even have be met. Equipment is in control of the angler. Should such be lost or broken, it would be the angler’s responsibility to pay for such losses. A functioning boat, and its' equipment on board, such as electronics and live well systems must be kept in working order. Please do not play with the radar or electronics, doing so may cause damage or loss of information gained over the years. If you do accidentally break something inform the captain or mate immediately.

Safety: Climbing on or in the tower by passengers is not allowed. For safety reasons we ask that you stay inside the boat at all times. Please do not climb on the gunnels or attempt to walk around the vessel on the gunnels. Please do not stand or walk on the motor and or motor bracket. If directed by the captain or mate, please do everything to accommodate them for your own safety. On weekdays and especially weekends, the waters get busy and full of individuals that are not concerned with the safety of other vessels and or whether we are fishing. Errand wakes from far off passing boats or the overzealous jet skier, coming too close, can cause a sudden shifting in the vessel. For your safety, stay alert, and or have a grip when underway.

Liability:  Inshore Slam Fishing Charters and it's captains, have a proven track record of providing a fun-filled and safe environment for customers. Even though we have never had any claims, there is always a possibility of an accident.  An accident that may be less probable to occur, than one that you may be in, by simply driving down to the end of your driveway. In our waters, there will always be other boaters who are not as careful and who do not utilize the best judgment.  Our Captains are seasoned, and  know to avoid careless boaters.  In addition, our Captain maintains insurance on their vessels.  Each Captain is required to maintain a Liability Endorsement with a minimum value of $300,000.  Many of our Captains have chosen to increase their coverage, with some maintaining policies as  high as $1,000,000.  In the event, the unlikely should occur, claims are to be forwarded to the individual captain's insurance carrier.

Fishing licenses: As long as you are fishing in saltwater with us, you are are not required to have a "Florida" fishing license or any saltwater stamps, we pay the state each year for a commercial fishing license and this license is included in the fee and covers you when fishing with us. On freshwater, each angler will be required to purchase their own fishing license. Sometimes a creel clerk, FWC, Sheriff, Police or USCG officer will approach the vessel or the party during or after the charter at the dock to look at the catch, check our license and or safety equipment. The creel clerks are asking for census purposes and want to know from the passengers, what species of fish you caught and kept.

Live Bait:  Whenever possible, live bait will be caught before the scheduled departure time.  Many times our customers (Especially children) find catching bait exciting and wish to join us.  Please notify us in advance if you wish to accompany us in the bait catching duties for the day.  When possible it is best to locate the preferred bait, even if it means delaying our charter by a few minutes or an hour.  Other guides will simply go out and perform the charter with less then positive expectations.  We will not.  We would rather spend an extra hour on the water locating the proper bait to help provide you with the best day possible.  This is particularly true in the Southwest and West Central Florida region, where Live Pilchards, Sardines and Herring are the baits of choice. There may be times when buying or catching live bait is just not possible.  This can be the result of a recent front, recent heavy rains, etc.  This does not mean however, the fish will also be gone.  It just means Inshore Slam Fishing Charters will have to adjust to the conditions.  While we will invest the extra time into locating the proper baits, when we cannot, we respectfully reserve the right to utilize other methods to provide you and your guests a fun filled day.  These other methods can include Artificial Bait & Lures and Dead Bait.

Payment: Inshore Slam Fishing Charters accept MasterCard, Visa, and PayPal. Deposits may be placed on credit card or by personal check, with balances due at the end of the trip. You may also use the paypal button for deposits online. For multiple day charters, the daily balance is payable at the end of each day.

Refunds: Deposits are non refundable. We make every effort to make contact with you 24-48 hours prior to your scheduled departure and expect that you will be excited and anxious to contact us as well. Questionable weather is at the discretion of the captain. After your trip is confirmed and deposit is received, our policy is to meet our clients at the pickup location, at the agreed time, on the day of the charter. If the fishing trip is cancelled by the Captain due to hazardous weather conditions, we will try to reschedule, otherwise we will cheerfully refund your entire deposit. If you do not cancel, and do not show up for your charter, you will be Billed in Full for the charter and any subsequent days there after. All reservations require a deposit, if you are using a credit card, the deposit will be taken at the time the trip is booked. We collect $100 deposit per boat, per day to reserve the date and time slot. When you reserve a fishing trip, we do not book anyone else for that time slot. No shows leave the captain and sometimes the deckhand standing at the fully set up boat wondering where their charter clients are?

Cancellations by customers within 24 hours of scheduled departure, or no shows at the dock by customers on the day of the fishing trip will be charged to their credit card the full amount length of charter slot they have reserved.

In the event the charter is canceled due to hazardous weather, or should the Captain experience vessel problems, the deposit will be fully refundable. (Weather, at the discretion of the Captain).

Multiple Boats - Deposits: Inshore Slam Fishing Charters can accommodate an unlimited number of anglers in a party by utilizing other boats and captains within and outside of the Inshore Slam Fishing Charters umbrella. We treat each boat as separate charter, and each charter will require a deposit.

Tipping: Although tipping is not required, our captains work very hard to insure you an exciting and successful fishing day, with  Slam Fishing Charters. Judge the quality of your trip, by how hard your guide works for you. Most of the time we can perform our magic, however, sometimes no matter how hard we work, we cannot get the fish to cooperate. If your guide worked hard, is courteous, took the time to teach you, and you had a good time, then by all means, it is proper to leave him/her a gratuity. It is customary and common to give a 10% to 30% tip. When a mate is on board, commonly parties of 3 or more we operate with a mate. We do not increase our charter rates for the boat when we run a mate and do so to help facilitate the capture of fish by all individuals in the party. The entire mate's income is derived from gratuities or tips. Mates are an integral part of the days charter and an advantage for the individuals in larger parties. From the hours of preparation and cleaning before and after a charter to helping the anglers with all of the fish duties throughout the day. Mates will bait your hooks, help land your trophy fish, photograph your catch, clean and bag fish at the end of the day. Some clients do not tip, simply because they do not know it is accepted practice in the charter industry to tip the captain, or in all cases the mate, which is why we choose to mention tipping standards on our site.

Matching Price Policy: Occasionally you'll  find a charter advertised or unadvertised for less than what is standard in the industry. Some charters have implemented fuel surcharges due to the increase in cost of oil and gas, and advertise their rate without the charge. Our policy, is not to have any hidden cost, and try to match a price for a "charter of equal value". If you are going to fish aboard a 17 foot skiff with a 60 horse motor, the cost should be a lot less. When your captain is taking you along to catch bait and you had not asked to be included, ask for a discount is should cost less. If your captain is unlicensed, beware, and or has a full time employer other than fishing and works weekends or days off, like many fireman, bartenders, pilots, be cautioned. We ask that you provide a copy of an e-mail or link to the advertised price and we will do our to accommodate you, on a case by case basis. Please ask, we want to know everyone does it, you can even check out my "Specials" and "extra information" page.

Personal Belongings:  Inshore Slam Fishing Charters and it's Captain will try our best to keep your personal belongings safe from the elements, however we cannot guarantee, nor will we be responsible for the safety of such. Our boats are equipped with dry storage, however, the possibility of damage due to moisture and/or spray to camera equipment and other misc. electronic equipment is always a possibility. We ask you please take the responsibility for your belongings and bring with you a waterproof bag to store your valuables.

Pickup & Drop-off Locations:  Should good weather prevail, our Captains can pick you up and drop you off anywhere within their coverage area.  In windy conditions, we will require you meet us as close to the fishing grounds as possible.  Please click on the Captains you wish to book, for a listing of their preferred ports. Waterfront Pickups may require an additional charge (Varies per captain and per area).
